Overview
Mitch and his brother Howie are hired to mow the grass between the tombstones and mausoleums of Hemlock Hill Burial Ground. It is a spooky place and Ezekiel Zenger is not easy to work for, but jobs are hard to find. One stormy afternoon, they stumble upon Ezekiel scouring a mark from a Zenger tombstone while Nathaniel, his mad brother, looms over him, screaming a curse. For the next few days there is no sign of Nathaniel. Ezekiel is digging a grave with particular care and determination. Then one evening, in the midst of a wild thunderstorm, Mitch and Howie are drawn to Ezekiel's cottage. There in the window is etched the mark of the devil, and Ezekiel lies motionless on the floor.
