This book accompanied a microwave oven when the technology was still new. It has a fairly thorough introduction to microwave cooking, including theory, suggested utensils, recipe preparation hints, and precautions. This is followed by a large number of recipes arranged in chapters (appetizers, meats, poultry, fish and seafood, casseroles, eggs and cheeses, sauces and toppings, soups and stews, pastas grains and cereals, vegetables and other side meals, sandwiches, breads muffins and coffee cakes, sweets and treats, beverages, special extras, frozen convenience foods), a chapter for ingredient substitution, a defrost chart, and an index.
