Overview
The Wired Society is a reader rhetoric intended for first-year composition, advanced composition, or classes focusing on technology and society. As the title indicates, The Wired Society considers through the perspective of information technology. Readings from a variety of genres and levels focus on both controversial and background issues related to computers and Internet; they are "real-world," the types of writing students might encounter by surfing the World Wide Web or browsing books and periodicals in the library. The Wired Society will help students become critically aware as readers and writers of the issues involved in information technology.
