Photographic historiography of Lucca. Lucca is a city in Tuscany with about 90,000 inhabitants. The city is one of the richest cities in Northern Italy, located about fifty kilometers west of Florence. Lucca is also the capital of the province of Lucca. The city, once founded by the Etruscans, has a long history and the Romanesque style of the cathedral already reveals that it was a good place to live in the 11th century. Renaissance applies to many buildings. The city is completely walled, which gives a special cachet to the place where in 1805 Napoleon appointed his sister Elisa as controller.
